Light Study

Digital Images and Silver Gelatin Prints
A photographed boiled down to it’s bare necessities needs only light and shape. Using that philosphy I create these non-objective images. Inspired by abstract work and the Rorsach test it is intended for the viewer to find their own meaning or subject.

A photographer’s attempt at charcoal.

The work is meant to be printed and reprinted a thousand times and in a thousand different ways.

12 x 18 in Embroidered Wool Tapestry
Alt Process. Cyanotype

A story told through the senses of sight and touch, as I use an unconventional method of presentation of wool thread acting as my paper substrate.

As the wool strands create a wave like texture akin to water that is meant to have a hand run across.

Oswego County
Documentary

Silver Gelatin Prints and digital film scans
In this series I explore the poltical climate around Oswego county, majority of my extended family lives in this region. The current work displayed are from sights viewed on my drive up to my families home. I plan on continuing this series by exploring the more secluded areas of the county. I capture the evidence of broken promises and lack of care in these rural regions.

My hope for this project is to shed further light on the realities for those living in upstate New York, uncared for and forgotten by the State itself.
